Prof. Deryn Fogg, University Research Chair, University of Ottawa Deryn Fogg holds a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, where she worked with Prof. Brian James on imine hydrogenation. She carried out postdoctoral work on quantum dots with Prof. Dick Schrock at MIT, and was appointed as a faculty member at Ottawa in 1997.
Mark Lautens was born in Hamilton and attended the University of Guelph for his B.Sc. and subsequently obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he worked with Barry M. Trost.
